- This resource includes visuals for patients targeting increased vocal intensity. Three different sizes are included in both yellow and white. I recommend laminating before use to increase durability.
- During speech exercises, I place a visual card in front of the patient and use a sound level meter to assess vocal intensity at word, phrase, sentence, and conversation level. I’ve also found the sound level meter provides great visual feedback for the patient. (There are great free apps for sound level meters if you do not have one).
- The larger visuals work well for the patient’s room (i.e. bathroom & bedroom) and common places where conversations take place ( i.e. dinning room, & therapy gym). The small visuals are great to place on wheelchairs to increase carryover throughout the day.
